Join us in celebrating FEF’s impactful work and help turn teachers’ dream projects into reality.

FEF is proud to honor Donna Buckley and Troy Clarkson at our 2026 Annual Gala. Troy and Donna, in their professional and personal lives, are dedicated to acknowledging, strengthening, and celebrating connections across our community.

Donna Buckley is the Sheriff of Barnstable County: the first woman in that role in the county’s 300 year history. Since her election she has established programs focused on proven inmate rehabilitation as the route to meaningful public safety. Before that, she was general counsel to the Sheriff’s office, in-house counsel to the International Brotherhood of Police Officers and the Massachusetts Teachers Association, as well as teaching law school courses and running her own legal practice.

Troy Clarkson has been a well-known member of the community for decades. In addition to having held executive roles in town government in Bridgewater, Hanover, Plymouth, and currently Brockton, Troy has served Falmouth on the Select Board, as a columnist for The Enterprise, and as a leader and member of local committees in all areas of civic life. He is a mentor to those dealing with addiction and involved in recovery. In recognition of his service to the town, Troy was named Falmouth Chamber of Commerce’s Citizen of the Year in 2024.

Together Donna and Troy are supporters of many local non-profits, including FEF, and together they model the commitment, kindness, persistence, and attention to others that are hallmarks of a strong and resilient community.
