Guidelines for Applying for Grants for new projects
deadline for submission:  April 1,2019

New Project Application
Please read through the following guidelines prior to beginning the application for new project grants.  Links to the application are above and at the end of these guidelines.  If you have any questions, please contact us at fefgrants@gmail.com

The Primary Applicant
Each application will have one primary applicant.  The primary contact will:
  • receive all FEF communications
  • be responsible for providing information about the grant to the district business office
  • be the primary contact to the FEF Program Committee liaison
  • be responsible for sharing all information with co-applicants.

Working on the Application
  1. There are two items you need to complete when you begin working on your application: your name and your email.
  2. You will not be able to save your information unless you include this information.
  3. If you want to begin working on the application and return to it at a later time, follow the steps below.  These are the same steps you will take to submit your final application.  You can repeat the following steps as often as you need prior to the final submission date of April 1.
  • At the bottom of the last page of the application, there is a PREVIEW button.
  • You cannot submit your application without first pressing the PREVIEW button.
  • After pressing the preview button, you will see be able to view your application with whatever information you have entered thus far.
  • In order to save the information and return to the form at a later time, press the SUBMIT button.
  • You will see a screen letting you know that you have successfully submitted the application.
  • That screen will contain two links:  one is to EDIT your form, and one is to get a PDF of your form.
  • You will also receive an email from JotForm with these same links. If you do not receive a confirmation email, check your spam or or junk folders.
  • The EDIT Link will take you back to your application.  You can go through this process as often as you need prior to submitting a final application.

Budget Form
  1. Each application must include a budget form.
  2. The link to the form is: fef_budget_form_2019-20.docx
  3. Download the budget form and save it to your computer with the name of your grant, e.g., teaticketmathclub.doc.
  4. Complete the form and then UPLOAD the completed, renamed form on page 5 of the application.
  5. If you are seeking to purchase any technological equipment, review the District's Technology Plan to ensure that your request is aligned with the plan. DISTRICT TECHNOLOGY PLAN
  6. Whenever possible, order your purchases through a district recommended vendor.  A list of recommended vendors can be found at RECOMMENDED VENDORS

Submitting your Final Application
  1. Once satisfied with your final application, download the PDF from the confirmation screen to your computer.  The PDF is a good way to share your application with your co-applicants and with those from whom you are seeking support. We suggest you rename your PDF to reflect that name of your project.
  2. All applications need the support of your principal and/or department chair.
  3. We recommend that you email the PDF of your final application with the budget to them, and to Cindi Tougas, Director of Technology and Library/Media,ctougas@falmouth.k12.ma.us when your application includes a request for technology.
  4. Request that they send an email of support to FEFGrants@gmail.com by April 1.
