FEF Grants 2016-17

Thank you for your interest in applying for a Falmouth Education Foundation grant. FEF supports innovative projects that enhance teaching and learning in the Falmouth Public Schools. Grants are for classroom activities or staff development; past grants have ranged from $250 to $9000. 

General Reminders and Guidelines
  • Grantees will be asked to invite FEF Board liaisons to see their projects during the funding year.
  • FEF funds only equipment/technology that is integral to the project.
  • Grantees will attend a grantee meeting in the spring.
  • At the conclusion of projects, grantees will submit reports on their projects. You can see the assessment form by clicking on the following link: https://form.jotform.com/60056739806966

I. Directions for Completing the Application
  • The application is found below.  As you complete the application, your information will be saved and will be auto-filled for one week, as long as you continue to use the same browser and computer.
  • All applicable fields must be completed.
  • Budget Template:  You will need to download the template from this webpage, save it to your computer with the name of your proposal, e.g., icreate.docx, complete the information, and upload it to the application where indicated. You may want to download the template before beginning the application itself. Please note the budget guidelines on the budget template. Once you upload the completed budget to your application, check to see that it is there. 
  • Signature:  Please include your electronic signature, as well as those of all co-applicants. If there are more than three, attach a word document with names and signatures of each one.
  • To submit, click on Preview and review your responses. When you are satisfied, press the Submit button. You will receive an acknowledgement that the proposal has been successfully submitted.
  • After submitting, you will also receive an email with two links. One is to obtain a PDF of your application. The other is to modify any information in the proposal.
  • Your application is not complete until we receive emails of support from your department chair or principal, the Director of Technology, if applicable, and any community organizations with which you are partnering.   All emails should be sent to FEFgrants@gmail.com       
           
III. Technology Guidelines
  • Proposals including technology need the signature of the Director of Technology. Purchases are made centrally by the DT to ensure compatibility with district technology.
  • Granted technology is for grantee use for the duration of the project, but remains the property of the Falmouth Public Schools.
  • FEF values sustainability and hopes that the project will continue in a similar way beyond the funding year. If the project ends or if the grantee's assignment changes, it is the building principal's decision as to where the equipment will reside and how it will be used.
  • Falmouth Public Schools provides repair, maintenance, and upgrades to funded technology.
