Lawrence Students Create documentaries for service learning

Every eighth-grader at Lawrence School participates in a Community Service Learning project in which they volunteer and fundraise for various nonprofit organizations. At the end of the project they create a documentary to hone a variety of skills: research, creating and interpreting surveys, conducting interviews, creating commercials, filming and editing. A grant from FEF allowed teacher Janice Williams-Nimtz to purchase iOgrapher equipment to help students create high-quality documentaries. Here are some of their projects.
Food Waste In America by Noah DeCosta and Helena Marshall
Litter Pollution Around the World by Lilliana Chaves and Kaylee Kuehne
Racism 21st Century  by Daisha Pena and Abigail Chorches
Food Waste in America by Isabel Kubick
